Recently, a new type of intelligent lock management system integrating passive power supply technology and Bluetooth intelligent control has been officially launched on the market. With the passive Bluetooth lock as the core terminal, the system adopts an innovative model of reverse power supply via Bluetooth key and centralized control through cloud platform, which completely solves the industry pain points of traditional intelligent locks such as reliance on battery replacement, complex wiring, and high operation and maintenance costs. It has attracted widespread attention in many fields including campuses, electric power, public rental housing, and industrial operation and maintenance, and is expected to reshape the industry pattern of intelligent security management.
According to the R&D team, the newly launched passive Bluetooth lock intelligent management system has achieved three major core technological breakthroughs. Firstly, it adopts a passive design concept, where the lock itself does not require a built-in battery or external power supply. When the Bluetooth key approaches or is inserted into the lock core, an induced voltage is generated through the induction coil and quickly charged, providing stable power for the internal chip and micro-motor of the lock to complete identity verification and unlocking operations, fundamentally avoiding the lock-up failure of traditional intelligent locks caused by battery exhaustion. Secondly, it is equipped with a high-strength encryption chip and an exclusive Bluetooth communication protocol. Each lock is equipped with a unique Bluetooth password, which is generated and written through a mobile APP. Combined with the highest authority control of the lock core manager, it forms a triple security verification system of “APP – Bluetooth Key – Lock Core”, effectively preventing technical opening and authority theft risks. Thirdly, it constructs a full-link data traceability system. All lock opening and closing operations real-time record key information such as unlocking time, user ID, and operation location, which are synchronized to the mobile APP through the Bluetooth module and uploaded to the cloud platform, realizing permanent retention and full-process traceability of operation records, and completely solving the management problem of traditional mechanical locks that “anyone can open and there is no record after opening”.
In practical application scenarios, the adaptability and convenience of the system have been fully verified. In the campus field, many universities such as Central South University and Nanjing University have deployed similar passive intelligent lock management solutions in batches, covering tens of thousands of student dormitories and teaching venues, realizing intelligent management functions such as accurate matching of student check-in, statistical analysis of entry and exit data, and dynamic authority allocation, which has greatly improved the efficiency of logistics management and the level of campus safety. In the field of electric power operation and maintenance, projects such as Weihai Zhaowen 220kV Power Transmission and Transformation Project and Huanghe Xiaoxia Hydropower Station have introduced the passive Bluetooth lock management system, allowing operation and maintenance personnel to open hundreds of equipment cabinet locks with only one intelligent Bluetooth key. Combined with the cloud remote authorization function, there is no need for on-site key handover, which significantly improves the inspection efficiency and equipment safety control level. In the field of public rental housing management, public rental housing projects in Changsha, Wuhu and other places have realized real-time supervision of housing usage status with the help of this system, effectively preventing problems such as illegal subleasing and arrears of rent, and escorting people’s livelihood projects.
Industry experts said that the emergence of the passive Bluetooth lock intelligent management system is not only a major innovation in the power supply technology of intelligent locks, but also promotes the transformation of security management from “passive defense” to “active control”. Compared with traditional intelligent locks, the system does not require battery replacement and complex wiring, which can reduce operation and maintenance costs by more than 60%. At the same time, it has a wide temperature working range of -40℃ to 80℃, adapting to extreme environments such as outdoors, underground wells, and high altitudes, with broad application prospects. With the continuous upgrading of the Internet of Things technology, such passive intelligent control solutions are expected to be popularized in more industrial and civil fields, providing core support for building an intelligent security management ecosystem.
At present, the passive Bluetooth lock intelligent management system has completed a number of industry standard certifications. Relevant enterprises are accelerating the promotion of cooperation and implementation in more fields. In the future, it will further expand functions such as refined remote authority control and intelligent early warning of abnormal operations by combining technologies such as AI data analysis and multi-terminal linkage, and continuously improve the intelligence level and safety protection capability of the system.
